Score Input & Session Lock
Complete guide on where event organizers input and correct qualification scores in the dashboard, plus how to use the session Lock/Unlock mechanism for field security.
While field scorekeepers typically record arrow values using the mobile scoring app at each target butt, tournament organizers (EO) maintain full administrative scoring control via the Organizer Dashboard. This allows the scoring committee to input scores directly, correct mistakes, and govern field scoring permissions using the Lock / Unlock controls.
1. Where Organizers Input Qualification Scores
To access the administrative scoring desk for qualification rounds:
- Log in as an organizer and navigate to Dashboard Organizer > Tournaments.
- Select your active tournament.
- In the left sidebar, click on Qualification (Kualifikasi) > Scoring Sheet / Matrix Input.
- Select the relevant Session Wave and Category from the top filter tabs.
The scoring desk is separate from the public leaderboard — changes you make here are immediately reflected in both the live standings and the public tournament page.
2. Using the Dashboard Scoring Matrix & Grid Sheet
The Qualification Scoring Sheet provides a complete field overview formatted like an official World Archery score matrix:
- Rows: Each row represents an archer, identified by their target position (e.g., 01A - Budi Santoso), club, and current total.
- Columns: Divided by Ends (End 1, End 2... End 6), displaying individual arrow values, end subtotal, running cumulative total, total 10s, and total Xs.
- Live Sync: As field scorekeepers record values on their phones, the organizer scoring grid updates in real-time without requiring page refreshes.
The live sync means the organizer and field scorekeepers are always looking at the same data — no manual reconciliation needed at the end of the round.
3. Entering Arrow Scores (X, 10-1, M) & End Totals
Organizers can click on any cell in the grid to input or edit scores directly from a laptop or desktop computer:
- Keyboard Input: Use numbers
1through9,0or10for ten, xorXfor inner-10 bulls-eye, andmorMfor a miss. - Batch End Input: If recording from paper score sheets after the round, organizers can type the 6 arrow values sequentially; the system automatically calculates the end total and running score.
- Judge Overrides: If a target judge rules a line-cutter arrow as a higher score upon appeal, the organizer can edit the disputed arrow directly on this sheet.
The scoring matrix is the single source of truth for all qualification results. Any edit you make here immediately recalculates the archer's running total, 10s count, and X count — so corrections are reflected in the live leaderboard within seconds.
4. The Session Lock & Unlock Mechanism Explained
The Lock / Unlock status is a core security feature designed to prevent unauthorized or accidental score modifications during and after competition:
| Status | Mobile Scorekeeper Access | Dashboard EO Access |
|---|---|---|
| Locked (Terkunci) | Read-only (Cannot enter or edit arrow scores) | Full edit access by authorized organizers |
| Unlocked (Terbuka) | Active (Scorekeepers can input scores end-by-end) | Live monitoring and real-time edits |
The lock state is visible to everyone — scorekeepers who try to submit scores on a locked session will see a clear error message telling them scoring is not yet open. This prevents accidental early submissions during practice arrows.
5. When & How to Unlock Scoring for Field Scorekeepers
Follow these steps on competition morning:
- Keep the session Locked during warm-up practice arrows so test shots are not recorded as official scores.
- Once official practice concludes and the Director of Shooting (DOS) announces Scoring Round Begins, click the Unlock Scoring (Buka Scoring) button on the top right of the Qualification dashboard.
- Field scorekeepers logged in via target short-codes will immediately gain write permissions to input End 1 scores.
Keep the session unlocked only for the duration of active shooting — lock it again immediately once all archers complete their final end.
6. Locking & Finalizing Official Standings
Once all archers complete their final end:
- Verify that all target score cards are fully filled and signed by athletes/judges.
- Click the Lock Scoring (Kunci Scoring) button to immediately freeze mobile field input, preventing post-round tampering.
- Review the generated leaderboard, resolve any rank ties (shoot-offs or coin tosses), and click Finalize Qualification (Sahkan Kualifikasi) to publish the official rankings and seed elimination brackets.
