Tournament Country & Currency Configuration
Learn how to configure the tournament host country and official currency, affecting payment gateway routing (IDR/Mayar vs International/PayPal) and invoice calculations.
When setting up a tournament on Archeris, two things determine how participants pay and how invoices are generated: Country and Currency. Get these right before opening registration — changing them after participants start registering can cause payment data inconsistencies.
1. Overview & Importance
These two settings affect three key things:
- Discoverability: Archers searching for events in a specific country or city will find your tournament on the public calendar.
- Payment Methods: The system automatically shows only the gateways compatible with your chosen currency — no manual gateway configuration needed.
- Invoices: All registration fees, receipts, and financial reports use the currency symbol and format you set.
Set these at the start — before creating categories or opening registration.
2. Currency & Payment Methods
Country and currency are set in the Registration tab, under the Tournament Country & Currency section:
- Open Organizer Dashboard > Tournaments and enter your tournament workspace.
- Click the Registration tab.
- Scroll to the Tournament Country & Currency section.
- Select the Country — the system auto-fills the default currency for that country.
- Adjust Currency if needed:
- IDR (Indonesian Rupiah): For tournaments in Indonesia. Activates Mayar — QRIS, Virtual Accounts, GoPay/OVO/Dana/ShopeePay, and local bank transfers.
- USD (United States Dollar): For open international events. Activates PayPal and international debit/credit cards.
- EUR, SGD, MYR, AUD: For Southeast Asia or other international events. Activates PayPal and SWIFT/Wise transfers.
- Click Save.
Selecting IDR hides PayPal from the checkout page. Selecting USD hides Mayar. This prevents participants from paying through an incompatible gateway.
Important: Lock in your currency before registration opens. Once participants have active invoices, changing the currency can cause mismatches in their payment records.
3. Invoicing & Fee Display Rules
Once a currency is chosen, all pricing throughout the tournament reflects it automatically:
- Category & Type Fees: Prices display the correct currency symbol — e.g.,
Rp 150.000for IDR or$50.00for USD. - Itemized Invoice Breakdown: Registration invoices calculate individual subtotals, team slot fees, and grand totals in the selected currency.
- Organizer Financial Reports: Revenue tables, wallet mutations, and CSV exports all use the tournament currency.
Participants receive invoices with consistent currency formatting — it's clear exactly what they owe and in which currency.
