What is Archeris

Archeris is a ticketing and scoring platform built specifically for archery tournaments — online registration, automated payments, live scoring at the target line, and instant elimination brackets, all in one place.

Ask any archery tournament organizer what the hardest part of their job is, and most won't say "finding a venue" or "getting sponsors." They'll say: the paperwork, the scorecards, and chasing bank transfer confirmations on WhatsApp.

That's exactly where Archeris comes in. It's a web and mobile platform built specifically for archery tournaments, covering everything from the moment you open registration all the way through publishing final results and distributing certificates.

1. The Real Problem with Running Archery Tournaments

If you've ever helped organize an archery event the traditional way, the chaos is familiar. Registration comes in through a Google Form. Payment proofs flood your WhatsApp. Someone manually cross-checks bank mutations line by line. The target allocation spreadsheet has a formula error nobody caught until competition day. And on the field, scorecards get rained on, a volunteer misreads a handwritten number, and suddenly two archers are tied at a score that doesn't match what they actually shot.

Then comes the elimination bracket. Calculated by hand. Drawn on paper. While 80 athletes stand around waiting.

None of this is unique to one organizer or one club. It's just how archery tournaments have always worked — and it's what Archeris is built to change.

2. What Archeris Actually Does

Archeris replaces that pile of spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, and paper scorecards with one connected system. The platform is built around two core problems that every tournament faces: how to handle registration and payments before competition day, and how to manage scoring and results during it.

Ticketing: Everything Before Competition Day

Before any athlete steps on the field, there's a lot of administrative work that usually ends up scattered across email, spreadsheets, and messaging apps. Archeris consolidates all of it into one place.

Organizers set up their tournament once — bow divisions, age categories, quota limits per target butt, entry fees — and registration opens as a public self-service portal. Athletes sign up, pay through QRIS, Virtual Account, or PayPal, and receive a digital QR pass automatically. No manual payment verification, no printed lists to manage, no WhatsApp chasing. The organizer dashboard shows incoming registrations and payments in real time.

On competition day, venue staff scan each athlete's QR code at the gate for check-in. That's it. The roster is already in the system, target positions are already assigned, and everyone knows where they need to be.

Scoring: From First Arrow to Final Bracket

This is where traditional tournaments lose the most time. Paper scorecards have to be collected, walked back to the secretariat, and manually re-entered into a spreadsheet — all while athletes wait for results they can't see.

With Archeris, scorekeepers at the target line open their phone browser, enter a 5-character access code, and start logging arrow values end by end. No app to install, no account to create. The interface is designed for outdoor conditions — large touch buttons, high contrast display — and scores sync to the leaderboard the moment they're submitted.

When the final qualification end is locked, the system calculates the complete ranking order automatically, including tie-breakers based on 10s count then Xs count, and immediately generates the elimination bracket. Recurve and Barebow follow the Set Play System, Compound uses Cumulative scoring, and bye placements are handled correctly by default. The bracket is ready before the organizer even stands up from their chair.

Worth noting: you don't have to use both modules. If you only need ticketing and online registration for your event, that works perfectly on its own. Scoring is fully opt-in.

3. How It All Fits Together

The reason Archeris feels different from just using separate tools is that data flows automatically from one stage to the next. You set up registration, athletes sign up and pay, target positions get assigned, scorekeepers log results, and the bracket builds itself — without you re-entering anything at any point.

A tournament that would typically require a team of volunteers manually passing data between systems now runs with one organizer watching a dashboard. The scorebook is verified and ready to download the moment competition ends. Certificates go out the same day.

That's the actual shift — not just faster execution of the same tasks, but removing entire categories of work that used to be unavoidable.

4. Who Uses Archeris

Because tournaments involve more than just the organizer, Archeris gives each type of user their own space rather than forcing everyone through the same interface.

Tournament organizers work from a full web dashboard — event configuration, participant management, payment verification, target allocation, scoring controls, and financial reports are all in one place. The mobile app also lets organizers scan QR codes for on-site check-in.

Archers and athletes fill in their profile once and never have to re-enter their information. Every tournament they register for pulls from the same saved profile. They can track their target schedule, follow their scores live during qualification, and download their certificate when the event is over.

Club coaches and team managers can register an entire delegation across multiple divisions in a single checkout. During the competition, they can monitor each athlete's live score from anywhere — no need to crowd around a notice board at the secretariat.

Field scorekeepers don't need an account at all. A browser and a 5-character code is everything they need. This matters more than it sounds — getting volunteers set up quickly and without friction on competition morning makes a real difference.

5. Manual vs Archeris: Side by Side

To put it concretely, here's what each stage of a tournament looks like with and without Archeris:

Tournament Stage The Old Way With Archeris
Registration & Payment Google Form entries, WhatsApp payment proofs, manual bank mutation checks Self-service portal, payments verified automatically in real time
Target Allocation Manual Excel with duplicate number risks and formula errors 1-click automated assignment with printable target sheets
Score Recording Paper scorecards collected per round, re-typed into computers at the secretariat Direct mobile entry at the target line, synced instantly
Elimination Brackets Manual tie-breaker calculations, hours spent drawing bracket trees by hand Auto-generated bracket with correct seedings, byes, and shoot-offs
Results & Certificates Paper printouts on a notice board, physical certificates mailed out weeks later Live online leaderboard, verifiable e-certificates available immediately

The time saved on scoring math and payment tracking alone is usually measured in hours per event day — and that's before accounting for the errors that don't happen anymore.

6. Getting Started

There's no technical setup required. Accounts are free and the full dashboard is available to explore before you commit to anything.

If you're an archer, create a free account, fill in your profile once, and you're ready to register for any tournament on the platform. Your details carry over automatically every time.

If you're running a tournament, create an organizer account, complete your organization profile, and walk through the tournament creation wizard to publish your first event. Before competition day, you can run the scoring and bracket features in practice mode with your field team so everyone knows the flow.

The rest of this documentation covers each part of the platform in detail — ticketing setup, qualification scoring, elimination bracket rules, and more. Each guide is focused on one topic so it's easy to find what you need.
